Week 6 Type A entry
I read an article (http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/breaking/chi-allstate-chief-marketing-officer-mark-laneve-resigns-20120227,0,5914546.story) recently on the Chicago Tribune's website about the resignation of Allstate's chief marketing officer. Mark Laneve cited his twin son's autism as the reason for his departure. Laneve was extremely successful in his position as chief marketing officer for Allstate Insurance, and has left the corporation with very big shoes to fill. Allstate, a Northbrook, Illinois based auto and home insurance company was founded in 1931 as a part of Sears Roebuck and spun off into its own company in 1993. Allstate employs 35,000 people and had revenue of $31.4 billion dollars in 2012, with a net income of $928 million dollars (2010).
