Last night I attended my first Redsox game of the season against the Oakland Athletics. Fenway park has always been a magical place for me ever since I was a young boy. Fenway is the true epicenter for Boston redsox culture. I really noticed last night what a truly remarkable job the Redsox do with marketing themselves. The Redsox clothing line is now so extensive, there is virtually no clothing type or style that does not bear the Sox' or the B logo. As 40,000 fans squeezed themselves into the undersized ballpark (by major league baseball standards), I tried to do some math in my head to try to figure out a rough estimate of the revenue generated at Fenway Park for just one home game, the figures were astronomical. There are 81 home games a year, proving that Fenway Park is a modern American goldmine.
